Short Term Missions

All children need a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in them

We love having volunteers join us in giving love and hope to those who need it most.  We ask all volunteers go with willing hands and open hearts.  A day can include loving and playing with children, speaking into children's lives, practical support and worship and prayer. In all we do, we want to see love cultivated and hope restored.  Volunteers can focus their attention on one project or can be involved in all that we are doing.  Volunteers can also be involved in church work.

After a volunteer has been approved through the application process, there is some basic training provided (including learning a language, cultural differences etc) and a month long preparation training journal.  We have accommodation available in the Guest House at Home of Hope (this home is in reach of Hope Reaching and StepUp).  We use a hotel in Lira where volunteers are well looked after if they are volunteering at Footsteps.  The average time for a volunteer to join us is 2-6 weeks.
